Safety Features

The electric tug is equipped with the following safety features:

  • Tiller head support safety switch; When the tiller-arm is in the fully upright or fully down position this safety switch is activated and prevents the electric tug form driving. Move the tiller head to the operating range ((F) see product%20images/product_images_tt1500s.html#quick_start_guide__fig_mzh_xlm_g1c) to drive the electric tug.
  • DCL; the electric tug slows down until it comes to a controlled stop if this lever is released (and is in neutral position), remaining under total control at all times.
  • At standstill or power loss the parking brake engages after a few (programmable) seconds;
  • Safety reverse switch on tiller head; if activated, the electric tug will automatically drive in the opposite direction for a few seconds (in case the user would get trapped between the electric tug and an obstacle).
  • Emergency stop: after operating an emergency stop, the electric motor is de-energized and the parking brake activated, the electric tug can then no longer make any movements. To deactivate the emergency stop the button should be pulled with a twisting motion and the electrical circuit will be supplied with power again.
