Maintenance and repairs
Maintenance and repairs to the electric tug may only be carried out by qualified maintenance technicians from certified distributors or service centres.
The person in charge of maintenance must have suitable technical knowledge to work on electromechanical vehicles, acquired through training and/or as a result of valid work experience.
The manufacturer recommends that you only perform maintenance or repair work on a electric tug that is switched off and has its battery removed or disconnected.
The person performing the maintenance must absolutely not wear necklaces, ties, belts, chains, jewellery or other objects that could get caught in the electric tug or cause short circuits; furthermore, the person in charge of the maintenance must use:
- safety shoes;
- safety glasses in acid-resistant material;
- protective gloves.
Tools, instruments and workbenches used for maintenance or repairs must be in good condition in accordance with the requirements of the standards on safety and ergonomics. Tools must be electrically insulated to prevent accidental short circuits.
Check with your distributor for suggested periodic maintenance.
