Connecting/disconnecting the load
Connecting/disconnecting should always be done with the electric tug and load on level ground to avoid unwanted movements (of either one).
Driving with a connected load always causes the braking distance to increase. Consequently, the operator should moderate the speed and carry out the starts and stops gradually. The operator should pay close attention to the weight being pulled (which must never exceed the limits specified in the VDI table) but especially on the type of surface (sufficient traction) on which the electric tug will be used.
The operator must at least check the load, the brake system, the condition of the hitching point, the condition of the wheels and the general condition.
